Juan Carlos Preciado Rodríguez, PhD, is member of the Quercus Software Engineering Group and Professor (Titular de Universidad) of Computer Languages and Systems at the Universidad de Extremadura (UEx), Spain. His research areas include Web Engineering and Data Intensive, among others. He has published more than 60 scientific publications in journals and international conferences. He is founder of Homeria Open Solutions SL and MetrikaMedia SL, a recent spin-off from the UEx. He has occupied relevant positions at the University for more than 8 years (Deputy Rector).
