Medical image segmentation with SAM

We are celebrating! Our work dedicated to the analysis of the medical image segmentation capabilities of SAM, the foundational model of Meta, has just been published. In our tests, this model achieves results close to those obtained by models specifically built for this task, even though SAM has not been trained to perform segmentation of this particular type of images.

This is our first publication in the field of MIA. This opens a new line of research within the laboratory, with which we hope to begin a fruitful collaboration with different entities in the field of health.
